Education is a priority. We offer annual regional safety and labor trainings, and our staff holds over 150 certifications in environmental, safety, and food safety topics to tackle the issues that affect your bottom line.
WTNA shares key staff with the California Cotton Ginners and Growers Association, maximizing efficiencies, stretching member dues, and amplifying our collective impact.

Who We Are
The Western Tree Nut Association (WTNA), formerly known as the Western Agricultural Processors Association (WAPA), is a full-service advocacy and compliance organization serving California’s tree nut processors—and now, growers.
Founded in 2009 at the request of industry leaders, WTNA provides strong, effective representation on legislative and regulatory issues, along with practical, hands-on support for environmental and workplace safety compliance. From air permits to food safety plans, OSHA violations to custom safety programs, WTNA delivers expert solutions that keep members protected and prepared.
Backed by a seasoned team with experience testifying before Congress, the California Legislature, and major regulatory agencies, WTNA is a trusted force in the industry—credible, capable, and committed.
